Michael “Mike” Posner, known as just Mike Posner, is a popular American producer, singer-songwriter, and rapper from Southfield, MI. He is currently signed to J Records. Releasing mixtapes in the subsequent years, Mike Posner released his debut studio album in 2010, 31 Minutes to Takeoff. The album included three super hit singles: the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 single ‘Cooler Than Me’, ‘Please Don’t Go’, and ‘Bow Chicka Wow Wow’ that featured Lil Wayne.
Born and raised in Southfield, Michigan, Posner is a 23 year old artist who has garnered himself a huge fan following across the nation. While attending Duke University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Posner released his mixtapes from his dorm room. His second and third mixtapes, A Matter of Time and One Foot Out the Door, caught the attention of many major labels. He signed a deal with Big Sean’s Finally Famous / J Records in 2009. Mike Posner and Big Seam are also reported to be close friends.
