He is better known by his stage name T.I. or T.I.P. and is also the founder and co-chief executive officer of Grand Hustle Records. T.I. established himself as one of the most successful MCs of rap during the early 2000s. He has given hits like ‘What You Know’, ‘Bring Em Out’, ‘Swagga Like Us’, and ‘Whatever You Like’, along with successful albums, including Trap Muzik (2003), Urban Legend (2004), King (2006), T.I. vs. T.I.P. Born in Riverdale, Georgia, T.I. grew up in Bankhead, Atlanta, Georgia with his grandparents. T.I. began rapping at age nine. Dropping out from Douglass High School, T.I. became a drug dealer while in his teens and had been arrested several times by age 14. Soon, he was discovered and signed by a record executive, Kawan “KP” Prather. Although T.I.’s debut album I’m Serious, released in October 2001, did not do so well on the charts, all his latter studio albums turned to be highly commercially successful.
